Disney Jr.'s 'Iron Man' animated series features voiceovers from Tony Hale and Jessica Mendoza
Disney Junior is set to air a new animated series called "Iron Man and His Awesome Friends." This exciting show follows a young Tony Stark (voiced by Mason Blomberg), who takes on the role of Iron Man, and his superhero friends, including Riri Williams (voiced by Kapri Ladd as Ironheart) and Amadeus Cho (voiced by Aidyn Ahn as Iron Hulk).
The heroes in the show are children themselves, learning as they go, making for an engaging and relatable watch. The series is aimed at preschoolers and focuses on problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Olympic gold medalist and ESPN sportscaster Jessica Mendoza voices Dottie Doubleday, a character who owns a batting cage where the heroes practice. Dottie provides feedback to the heroes and enjoys baseball, adding a touch of real-world charm to the animated series.
The villain of the series is voiced by Tony Hale as Ultron, a robotic adversary that presents challenges for the young superheroes. Other guest voices include Vanessa Bayer as Swarm, Talon Warburton as Absorbing Man, and John Stamos as Howard Stark, Tony’s dad.
Other characters like Captain America, Black Panther, Vision, and Iron-Spider are also featured in the series. John Stamos lends his voice to Tony's father, Howard Stark, adding star power to the cast.
The show's theme song is by Mark Hoppus of blink-182, ensuring a catchy and upbeat tune to accompany the adventures of Iron Man and his friends.
All episodes of "Iron Man and His Awesome Friends" will start streaming on Disney+ from August 12. The series is currently available on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel.
According to Hale, the show provides a connection point for kids, as they can relate to the characters' thoughts and speech despite being superheroes. This makes "Iron Man and His Awesome Friends" an exciting addition to Disney Junior's lineup.
