Disney introduces a £1.99 promotional offer for its streaming service
Disney+ is gearing up for an exciting lineup this year, with a variety of new shows and movies joining its extensive library.
Firstly, the highly-anticipated TV series Shōgun is now available. Produced by Hiroyuki Sanada, who also stars in the series, alongside producers Jamie Vega Wheeler and Eriko Miyagawa, this drama is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. The series aims for a serious, authentic Japanese historical drama feel, rather than a typical Hollywood style.
Music lovers will be thrilled to know that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) is coming to Disney+ on March 15th.
For those who enjoy action-adventure, mark your calendars for March 29th, when the series Renegade Nell will premiere.
FX's The Bear and the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham have been renewed for third seasons and are scheduled to return to Disney+ later this year. These shows, along with other series such as The Bear and Welcome to Wrexham, part of Disney-owned programming from networks like FX and Hulu, are available under Disney+ Star content.
In the realm of movies, Marvel Studios' The Marvels and 20th Century Studios' The Creator are now available to stream on Disney+.
Two more films, Searchlight Pictures' Poor Things and Walt Disney Animation Studios' Wish, are coming soon to Disney+.
For new and returning customers, Disney+ is offering a promotional price of £1.99 per month for three months for its Standard with Ads plan. This offer represents a £9 saving compared to the regular monthly price for three months. After the three-month promotional period, Disney+ Standard with Ads will auto-renew at the then-current monthly retail price (currently £4.99 per month) unless the customer cancels before then.
Lastly, season 2 of the original comedy series "Extraordinary" will be available on Disney+ on March 6th.
With such a diverse and exciting lineup, Disney+ is sure to keep its subscribers entertained throughout the year.
