"Disney Greenlights a Third Season for Marvel's 'Daredevil: Reborn'"
Marvel's popular series, Daredevil: Born Again, is set to make a comeback with a third season on Disney+. The news was confirmed by Brad Winderbaum, Marvel's Head of TV, Streaming & Animation, in an interview with IGN.
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again does not yet have a premiere date, but it is scheduled to air in March 2026. The first season, which premiered on March 4, 2025, introduced Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones character and showcased a gripping storyline that saw Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D'Onofrio, transition from a gangster to a New York City autocrat mayor.
In the first season, Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, falls in love with therapist Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva), who later becomes an ally in the Fisk administration. Heather Glenn was initially an ally in the Fisk administration in the first season.
Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher also returns in the first season, breaking out of Fisk's Red Hook prestige jail in the finale. In a separate development, a Punisher special is in the works from Marvel Studios, co-written by Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green.
Dario Scardapane, the showrunner of Daredevil: Born Again, is credited with rescuing the revival of the show following the 2023 writers strike. Scardapane is also the EP of The Punisher.
The third season of Daredevil: Born Again is produced by Marvel Studios, with production scheduled to begin in 2026. Vincent D'Onofrio has expressed a good chance for a third season, while Charlie Cox has expressed doubt about a Season 3.
Krysten Ritter's character, Jessica Jones, is set to return in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of this gritty and intense series, which had the best series premiere on Disney+ in 2025, with 7.5 million viewers worldwide in its first five days.
