Disney discontinuing Jimmy Kimmel's show praised by Trump as a victory for America

In a surprising turn of events, the late-night talk show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' has been pulled off the air indefinitely by Nexstar Media Group. The decision came after Kimmel's comments about the Charlie Kirk assassination, which sparked a wave of controversy and backlash.

The controversy began on Monday when Kimmel accused conservatives of trying to pin a left-wing ideology on the suspect of the 'news today' assassination. These comments were met with strong criticism, leading Kimmel to plan to address the 'abc news' backlash on Wednesday's show.

However, the show's producers decided to pause the programme indefinitely in coordination with ABC network executives. Nexstar Media Group will replace Kimmel's show with other programming on its ABC affiliates for the foreseeable future.

The controversy stems from Kimmel's comments about the killer's romantic relationship with a transgender partner who was biologically male and transitioning to female. Kimmel's comments were confirmed by FBI officials and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, who stated that the killer held a leftist ideology.

President Donald Trump, a long-time critic of Kimmel, celebrated the news on his Truth Social account. Trump called Kimmel a 'fierce Trump critic' with 'ZERO talent' and praised Disney's decision to indefinitely pre-empt the late-night show.

Despite the controversy, prosecutors reaffirmed those ties in Tuesday's indictment, and Kimmel has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his presidency.

It is important to note that ABC has not officially canceled the show, and it is unclear when or if 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' will return. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr issued a threat against Disney if they didn't address the controversy.

This is a developing story, and more information will be provided as it becomes available. Stay tuned for updates on this controversial situation.
