In a surprising move, Microsoft has snagged dismissed OpenAI bigwigs Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to spearhead a new AI research team. The announcement was made by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on the former Twitter, now X.
Microsoft, as OpenAI's largest shareholder, will benefit from these AI gurus' expertise. Altman and Brockman will be at the helm of a new AI development project, aiming to bolster Microsoft's AI capabilities further.
Nadella hinted at Emmet Shear as the interim CEO, with an optimistic message to collaborate with the new OpenAI leadership team.
