Dish on Home and Away: Is Irene Planning to Leave the Diner?
In the popular Australian soap opera, Home and Away, the characters Leah Patterson and Irene Roberts are currently going through significant life changes.
Irene Roberts, portrayed by Lynne McGranger, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Facing this challenging diagnosis, Irene decides to step away from running the Diner in Summer Bay. Despite Leah Patterson's (Ada Nicodemou) attempts to persuade her to stay, Irene insists on leaving to focus on enjoying her life while she still can. She tidies up and closes the Diner for the last time, returning later only as a customer. Irene also shows concern for Leah, asking Justin Morgan to keep an eye on her given the hectic nature of the Diner environment.
Leah Patterson, on the other hand, deals with the emotional impact of Irene’s departure and learns the truth about Irene’s diagnosis, marking a tough and emotional period for her. Leah also updates Justin on developments in their circle and appears to be closely watched for her well-being as Irene worries about her.
Meanwhile, Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin) faces personal drama and stress while arriving at work. Bree appears determined to keep work and personal issues separate but is shown to be under pressure. Bree Cameron suggests trying to work things out with Remi Carter, but only on her terms, hinting at a complicated past between the two characters.
As for Remi Carter, Mackenzie Booth, and Levi Fowler, their current storylines are not highlighted in the recent episodes or developments from August 2025.
