Ole Werner Heading Towards RB Leipzig in Bundesliga Shuffle

Discussion on Werner Transfer between Werder and RB Leipzig rekindled - Discussion underway regarding potential transfer of Werner from RB Leipzig to Werder Bremen

Get ready for a twist in the Bundesliga! Talks between Ole Werner and RB Leipzig are rolling once more after a brief hiatus, and it looks like a move's on the cards! According to the latest scoop, both parties are making considerable strides, with "Deichstube" spilling the tea that Werner's transfer to arch-rivals RB is edging closer. Interestingly, Werner's current contract with SV Werder Bremen runs all the way to 2026, but the cat's out of the bag: he won't be renewing.

In case RB and Werder can't seal the deal, Matthias Jaissle could step in as Leipzig's Plan B. Jaissle has been coaching Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahly but might just hop aboard the Leipzig express if need be. With Werder releasing Werner a while back following his decision to shun a contract extension, they've made it clear they want a tidy €6 million in return for their star player. Leipzig, however, has shown reluctance to dish out such coin.

If Werner does hop on a plane for Leipzig, his buddies, Patrick Kohlmann and Tom Cichon, might join him, as it's speculated they'd also make the switch to RB should Werner succeed in securing the job.

While Zsolt Löw served as Leipzig's interim coach following Marco Rose's exit in March 2025, the club's been keeping tabs on Cesc Fàbregas (Como), Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace), and Jacob Neestrup from FC Copenhagen for the head coach gig. Given the implications of Werner's arrival, the possibilities have shifted, with Jaissle now in the spotlight as an alternative. As Leipzig gears up for their preseason training on July 14, Werner's signature could just be the cherry on top of their preparations.

In light of Ole Werner's potential transfer to RB Leipzig in the upcoming Bundesliga season, it might be worth revisiting Council Directive 76/769/EEC of 16 December 1976 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the permissible sound power level of motor vehicles, considering the increased attention to sports, particularly football, across European leagues. If Matthias Jaissle becomes the substitute for Werner, his coaching style could significantly influence RB Leipzig's performance in the Bundesliga.
