Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2025 Announces Star-Studded Lineup
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is gearing up for its 50th edition, taking place from September 4 to 14, 2025. This year's event promises to be a memorable one, with a lineup of international superstars set to participate in the In Conversation With... series.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Tessa Thompson are confirmed participants for this series. These three stars will engage in candid, in-depth conversations about their careers and creative journeys during the festival.
Park Chan-wook, the acclaimed South Korean director, will also be part of the In Conversation With... series. His latest film, No Other Choice, premieres in Venice and gets its North American premiere in Toronto.
Nia DaCosta, director of the reimagining of Henrik Ibsen's classic play Hedda Gabler, will talk about her work alongside Tessa Thompson. The film is expected to be a highlight of the festival.
Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo, two rising stars from South Korea, are also part of the In Conversation With... series. They will discuss their careers, as well as their roles in Lee Hwan's female-led heist thriller and their starring roles in K-Pop music videos.
TIFF Next Wave presents an inaugural TIFF: Close-Up conversation with Project Y co-stars Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo.
Dwayne Johnson, co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions, has led numerous tentpoles and is targeting awards recognition with Benny Safdie's The Smashing Machine. He is also confirmed for the In Conversation With... series.
Ryan Reynolds will discuss his career, production company Maximum Effort, and his role as producer on TIFF opening selection John Candy: I Like Me.
The TIFF Black Excellence Brunch will return, spotlighting the 30th anniversary and legacy of the Planet Africa festival programme founded by TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey.
A project titled 'Shark Bait' has made a significant impact at MIFF's 37o South Market. More details about this project will be revealed during the festival.
