The upcoming 2022 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is set to feature a star-studded line-up, with several prominent personalities slated to participate in the "In Conversation With..." series.

Among the confirmed participants are Tessa Thompson, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds. Thompson, who will be discussing her reimagining of Henrik Ibsen's classic play Hedda Gabler and delving into her respective career, is also part of the series. Reynolds, on the other hand, will talk about his career, production company Maximum Effort, and his role as producer on TIFF opening selection John Candy: I Like Me. Johnson, known for his role in the upcoming film The Smashing Machine, will also be present.

The Smashing Machine, a biopic about MMA fighter Mark Kerr, also stars Emily Blunt. Another biopic to watch out for is Park Chan-wook's No Other Choice, for which Neon holds the North American rights. Park Chan-wook himself is confirmed for the In Conversation With... series at TIFF, as well as the premiere of his latest film in Toronto, following its Venice premiere.

Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo, stars from the film Project Y, will also be part of the series. They will discuss their careers and their starring roles in K-Pop music videos like Seven by Jung Kook and Derre by Bibi. TIFF Next Wave will also present an inaugural TIFF: Close-Up conversation with Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo, focusing on Lee Hwan's female-led heist thriller.

The TIFF Black Excellence Brunch returns, spotlighting the 30th anniversary and legacy of the Planet Africa festival programme founded by TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey in 1995. Further details about the confirmed participants for the "In Conversation With..." series at TIFF 2022 can be found in the official 2022 TIFF program archives or press releases.

A project titled 'Shark Bait' has been successful at MIFF's 37o South Market, but no specific details about its relation to TIFF are provided.

Stay tuned for more updates as TIFF approaches, promising an exciting line-up of events and discussions.
