Discussion at the town meeting featuring OB Siefert in Friedrichssegen covering various subjects
In the picturesque town of Lahnstein, Mayor Lennart Siefert is taking active steps to address local concerns and provide support. This month, the Mayor will host the first "Lennart Live - Next Gen" youth office hours, a dedicated space for children and youth to voice their concerns.
The youth office hours, scheduled for Saturday, July 19, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the playground near the Johanniskirche, are warmly welcomed by residents. The initiative, aimed at fostering open dialogue between the town's younger generation and its leader, is a testament to Mayor Siefert's commitment to understanding local issues.
Addressing another significant concern, Mayor Siefert has been vocal about the need for improvements in barrier-free access, particularly at public transportation hubs. While specific improvement measures are yet to be confirmed, typical measures often include the installation of ramps or elevators, tactile guidance systems, audible announcements, clear signage, low-floor buses and trains, and improved platform-edge markings and seating. The city administration is currently evaluating these requests in collaboration with the state mobility agency, with the aim of providing a more accessible town for all.
In addition to these issues, residents in Friedrichssegen/Frucht have been experiencing problems with mail delivery due to unique location-based address issues. To address this, the city administration is working closely with the neighbouring municipality to ensure reliable delivery, including for important items like election materials.
Moreover, residents have also requested a 30 km/h speed limit and road improvements in Friedrichssegen. In response, Mayor Siefert has promised to address these issues, demonstrating his commitment to addressing a wide range of concerns in the town.
The establishment of the non-profit "Kitzrettung Lahnstein Spießborn I" association was also met with warm reception. The association aims to save fawns from being killed by lawnmowers using drone technology, an innovative approach to wildlife preservation.
Mayor Siefert values these sessions as a means to understand local concerns and provide specific support, setting a positive tone for community engagement in Lahnstein. For authoritative and current information on specific improvement measures, consulting Lahnstein’s municipal transport authority or official announcements would be necessary.
The upcoming "Lennart Live - Next Gen" youth office hours will provide a platform for children and youth to discuss local concerns, such as transport improvements. Mayor Siefert is not only dedicated to addressing issues within politics but also advocating for enhancements in public transportation to ensure barrier-free access for all residents.
