Discussing regional security and sustainable development, Kazakhstan and the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) held talks.

Kazakh Deputy PM and Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, grills Kaha Imnadze – UN's Special Rep and Head of UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) – over a hot Interregional Dialogue on the Prosecution, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration of Returnees from Conflict Zones. So, what's the lowdown? Nurtleu talks turkey with Kaha 'Nadze about key collaborative zones between Kazakhstan and UNRCCA. They chew the fat on regional security issues, sustainable development, and joint ventures.

Nurtleu underlines the center's crucial role in Central Asian gabfests and reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to hustlin' regional agendas hard. He points out that Pres Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's been dead-set on the UN playin' an indispensable part in squashing global issues, especially as the geopolitical landscape starts lookin' more like my cubicle on a Monday morning.

In honor of the UN's 80th birthday, Nurtleu reiterated Kazakhstan's solidarity with the UN80 initiative. This initiative aims to shake things up and redefine the UN's role in today's zany world. He also emphasized Kazakhstan's efforts to push the envelope on multilateralism, boost UN ties, and develop regional strategies for rollin' with the SDGs.

Both parties agreed to beef up the partnership between UNRCCA and the new UN Regional Centre for the SDGs for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty. The UN General Assembly gave this thing a thumbs-up on March 4.

Imnadze thanked Kazakhstan for their ongoing support of UNRCCA and their stellar contributions to regional gabfests. Both sides promised to keep chasing common goals under the UN's watchful eye and wished each other a fruitful partnership. Dig it!

  2. During their meeting, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, underscored the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA)'s indispensable role in Central Asian discussions.
  3. Nurtleu and Kaha Imnadze, the UN's Special Representative and Head of UNRCCA, tackled policy-and-legislation and politics-related topics, including regional security and sustainable development, as well as their joint endeavors.
  4. Upon agreement between both parties, the partnership between UNRCCA and the new UN Regional Centre for the SDGs for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty will be strengthened, following the approval from the United Nations General Assembly on March 4.
