Discovered: Grotesquely Mutilated Corpse in a Suitcase; Arrest Made on Murder Charges Moments Before Prime-Time News Airing.

A shocking discovery in a residential area of Filderstadt near Stuttgart has led to the arrest of a 51-year-old Turkish man on suspicion of homicide. The woman's body, found badly decomposed and partly skeletonized in a suitcase by public works employees at the end of August 2025, has been identified as a 40-year-old from Stuttgart.

The special commission 'Trolly' has been leading the investigation, which intensified following the discovery. The suspect, who has exercised his right to remain silent, was arrested on Thursday after his involvement was confirmed.

The woman was last seen in Stuttgart on July 21, 2025. Her disappearance was reported, and no information about her whereabouts was known until the gruesome discovery in Filderstadt. The exact time of her death remains unknown.

Investigators have been searching for clues, including distributing flyers in Stuttgart's drug and homeless communities, in an attempt to gather more information about the case. A witness tip led to the discovery of the suitcase containing the woman's body before the TV show 'Cold Case' aired on ZDF on Wednesday, 17.09.2025.

Following the presentation on 'Cold Case', several tips were received by the police. The public prosecutor's office has offered a reward of 1,000 euros for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

The arrest warrant for the suspect was issued by a judge, and the investigation by the special commission 'Trolly' continues. No information about the cause of death, the nationality of the victim, or possible motives has been released.

The case has been presented on the TV crime show 'Cold Case', bringing more attention to the investigation and potentially leading to further information that will help bring justice for the deceased woman.
