Discovered Forgery at BPOL NRW: Federal police uncover a passport hidden in a shoe, suggesting an attempted fraud during entry.

On the night of September 14/15, a woman was checked by the Federal Police at Cologne/Bonn Airport. The incident, which involved the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin, has raised questions about the woman's identity.

Upon initial inspection, the woman presented a French ID card. However, biometric comparisons revealed inconsistencies, sparking doubts about her identification. Further searches led to the discovery of a Haitian passport hidden in her shoe.

The discovery of the Haitian passport clarified the deception and established the woman's true identity. Comparing the photo on the passport with her physical appearance raised even more questions. The woman attempted to make identification more difficult by tilting her head during photo-taking.

Other passengers provided hints that helped the woman correct her statements. Despite this, the woman repeatedly responded with her place of birth instead of her actual departure location during questioning. It was also noted that her stated height on the ID was 1.70 meters, but she was only 1.50 meters tall.

Investigations are underway for misuse of identification documents and attempted illegal entry. The true name of the woman under investigation by the Federal Police in Sankt Augustin is not publicly disclosed.
