Discover Nature's Glow: Biofluorescence Walk at the Reserve
Join a unique guided walk to witness the mesmerising phenomenon of biofluorescence at the reserve. The event, open to all, will provide professional UV torches to illuminate creatures in a dazzling display of colors. Please note, the trails may not be fully accessible with mobility aids after poor weather.
The guided walk is an exciting opportunity to spot biofluorescence, where living things absorb UV light and reemit it in vibrant colors. The event is recommended for adults and older children, as it may not be suitable for younger ones. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and bring their own torch for added visibility.
Dogs are permitted on the Sayer's Breck red route only, ensuring they do not disturb the wildlife or other visitors. The Centre and facilities are fully accessible, making the event inclusive for all. Children under 18 need their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult. Babies in arms or pushchairs are welcome free of charge.
Mark your calendars for the biofluorescence walk at the reserve. With professional UV torches provided, it's a fantastic chance to witness nature's glow. Remember to dress appropriately and follow the guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience.
