Discover Live: EU Conversations 2025 Summit
The European Union (EU) Conference, scheduled for April 4, 2025, will take place at the Parliament (Saeima) of the Republic of Latvia. This significant event brings together voices in politics, academia, and other experts to discuss the EU's evolving role in a shifting geopolitical landscape.
The conference is organised in collaboration with a network of regional and international partners, including Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science (TSPMI VU), International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS), Danish think tank Tænketanken EUROPA, Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI), and German Institute for European Politics (IEP).
The day's discussions will focus on the EU's current and future challenges, with a particular emphasis on strengthening its global standing. Topics to be addressed include EU competitiveness, foreign and security policy strategies, and enlargement prospects.
The conference will include a separate session in the afternoon, from 14:15 to 15:15. During this session, participants will delve deeper into specific topics and engage in a lively debate. The live submission of questions at the conference is facilitated by the Sli.do app using the event code TEUC2025.
Representatives of the European Union member states will be present at the special day of the EU conference in Latvia on April 4, 2025, holding positions as government ministers and heads of delegation.
