Hugh Grant Sparks Controversy at London Heathrow Airport

Unrest at London's Airport Due to Incident Occurrence - Discontent over airport incident in London

Grimacing and growsling

A-list actor Hugh Grant (64) has taken to social media to vent about a bewildering encounter at London's notorious Heathrow Airport. In a series of scathing tweets, Grant claimed that an airport employee demonstrated some off-the-wall, smarmy behavior towards his kids on Friday (4 Apr).

On his Twitter account, the actor thundered: "Just landed at Heathrow with the ol' missus and the brood. We all share the same surname (Grant) in our passports. The border control jokester took it upon himself to chat up my children, then he queried in a hushed tone: "Are these yer ma and pa?""

The British thespian deemed the officer's antics "disgusting, insensitive, and spooky," as he shared with the world. Yet, comments sections on his post are a mixed bag of opinions—ranging from alarmed support for the officer's actions to derisive remarks about Grant being a snowflake.

Grant and his Swedish spouse, Anna Eberstein (46), share three offspring aged six to nine. In addition to his current family, he has a 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son from a previous union with Tinglan Hong (46).

Grant Grumbles on Late Family Planning

Grant recently opened up about his family planning hiccups on the "Smartless" podcast in November. He lamented, "I left it way too late; I started having kids when I was 52," adding that his advancing age might hamper his ability to keep up with the little ones[1][2].

He echoed a similar sentiment earlier this month on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," cracking jokes about hiding from his offspring in the loo before getting a little emotional: "I get home tonight and, to be frank, the bit where they fling themselves into my arms—my 6-year-old calls it the 'monkey hug.' I adore that..." His speech caught the tears jerker, leaving him visibly emotional: "I've snotted myself."

"I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I can grant that Hugh Grant's encounter with an airport employee at London Heathrow caused a stir on social media, given the mixed reactions to his tweets. The youngest of the actor's children, aged six to nine, were present during this alleged offensively-behaved interaction with the border control officer. Despite the privacy concerns and discomfort zones brought about by the incident, Grant has recently admitted to late family planning and expressed his difficulty in keeping up with his young children."
