DirecTV slashes prices for NFL playoffs and 90+ channels in January deal
DirecTV is running a limited-time offer on its Signature Entertainment Package. For the first month, customers can access 90 channels at a reduced price of $49.99, down from the usual $89.99. The deal runs until January 6 and includes coverage of January NFL games.
The promotion provides a way to watch NFL games without a long-term cable or live TV contract. Subscribers will receive broadcast networks that cover most NFL matches, alongside channels like E!, FX, Disney Channel, Hallmark, Syfy, and Nickelodeon. The package also bundles streaming services Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN.
No official details exist for a separate 'Signature Entertainment Package' under DirecTV. Instead, the company’s standard packages—Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate, and Premier—include channels such as ESPN, CNN, FOX, Disney, and Nickelodeon. The current deal, however, specifically highlights 90 channels for the discounted rate.
For comparison, Sling TV’s day pass does not include sports on broadcast networks like FOX and CBS. This means NFL playoff games remain unavailable through that option. DirecTV’s offer fills that gap for viewers wanting access to January’s football matches.
The promotion ends on January 6, giving new subscribers a month of discounted access. After the first month, the price returns to $89.99. Those interested in NFL games or the bundled streaming services must sign up before the deadline.
