Diplomatic endeavors are being initiated to resolve the internal conflict within Your Party, with party members encouraging parliamentarians to transfer control to the populace.

In a series of unexpected developments, the newly formed left-wing political party, Your Party UK Ltd, has found itself embroiled in a row over a membership portal. This dispute is the latest in a series of disagreements between co-founders Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, who announced the party's formation earlier this year.

The controversy began with an invite sent to supporters, urging them to officially sign up and give financial backing to the party, which was described as 'Your Party' in its campaign material. However, Jeremy Corbyn swiftly denounced the invite as an 'unauthorized email,' warning people not to sign up via the link.

Zarah Sultana, on the other hand, insists that the membership portal is a 'safe, secure, legitimate' means of becoming a member of the party. In response to the concerns raised, the party has reported itself to the Information Commissioner's Office, citing its 'responsibilities to our supporters and duties under the law.'

The row has led to concerns that the new party may be driving voters to the Greens. Meanwhile, an open letter from a group of left-wing activists called Our Party has urged the six MPs named in the statement, including Ayoub Khan, Adnan Hussain, Iqbal Mohammed, and Shockat Adam, to step aside and hand the founding of the new party over to its members.

Zarah Sultana has expressed support for the open letter and described it as what she has been fighting for from the start. She has also accused a dispute over a new membership system of being a 'sexist boys' club.'

The independent party, founded by Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn, has faced internal disputes since mid-September 2025, with the latest developments leading to the movement splitting into at least three factions. Diplomatic efforts are underway to settle the row within the unnamed political venture.

It is important to note that Jeremy Corbyn relinquished his significant control over the company before the announced founding party day in November 2025. The party has proposed the appointment of a handover committee independent of the MPs to establish a membership system and oversee the election of a founding stewards committee.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how these internal disagreements will impact the direction and success of the new party. The party, however, has emphasized its commitment to its supporters and its obligations under the law.
