Ambassador Tirmizi Bids Farewell to UAE After Three Rewarding Years
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan's top envoy to the UAE, concluded his tenure with a heartfelt farewell reception in Dubai. The event, hosted by Vista Maritime Travel and Tourism, was a celebration of the lasting bonds Ambassador Tirmizi has cultivated during his three-year tenure.
The reception took place at a local hotel in Dubai, with Dr Zafar Tahir and Dr Fatima Khalid, the owners of Infinite Touch Solutions, taking the lead in organising the event. The distinguished gathering included Pakistani Consul General Hussein Mohammad, various diplomatic officials, members of both the Emirati and Pakistani business communities, and close friends of the ambassador.
During his tenure, Ambassador Tirmizi expressed satisfaction with the growth in trade and tourism between Pakistan and the UAE. He facilitated direct flights to Skardu, opening doors for Pakistani tourism and creating new opportunities for Arab travelers to explore Pakistan. This move was commended by Dr Zafar Tahir, who acknowledged the ambassador's remarkable achievements in strengthening UAE-Pakistan relations, particularly in tourism and trade.
Dr Fatima Khalid also paid tribute to Ambassador Tirmizi, acknowledging his tireless work in this regard. Ambassador Tirmizi himself stated that the three years he spent in the UAE were some of the most rewarding of his life. He expressed his gratitude to all present at the event, saying, "I am deeply touched by your kindness and support."
As Ambassador Tirmizi prepares to embark on a new diplomatic mission in Moscow, he continued to express that he will carry the fond memories of the UAE with him always. He and his wife consider Dubai and Abu Dhabi as their second home.
The farewell reception was a bittersweet moment for all who attended, marking the end of Ambassador Tirmizi's tenure as Pakistan's top envoy to the UAE. However, the memories and the positive impact he has made on the relations between the two nations will undoubtedly live on.
