Digital footprints of YouTuber Jasbir Singh appear to have been attempted to be erased following the arrest of Jyoti Malhotra, unveiled by Punjab Police.

In a shocking turn of events, Punjab-based YouTuber Jasbir Singh, known for his channel 'Jaan Mahal,' has been arrested for supposed links to a Pakistani espionage network tied to Pakistan's intelligence. The arrest follows investigations that suggest Jasbir maintained contact with Haryana-based influencer Jyoti Malhotra, who faced similar charges earlier.

Jyoti Malhotra, the travel vlogger from Hisar, was arrested last month. The events unfolded following the expulsion of Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani National associated with the Pakistan High Commission, for allegedly orchestrating espionage. Malhotra is believed to have been associated with Danish, who became her handler.

After Malhotra’s arrest, Jasbir Singh attempted to erase all digital footprints of his communication with foreign handlers, according to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. The investigations showed that Jasbir associated with Pakistani Intelligence Operative (PIO) Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, a member of a terror-supported espionage network, as confirmed by the DGP. He also communicated with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish.

Investigations revealed that Jasbir attended the Pakistan National Day event in Delhi on Danish's invitation, meeting Pakistani Army officials and vloggers. Jasbir's electronic devices contained multiple Pakistan-based numbers currently under forensic scrutiny. He reportedly travelled to Pakistan on three occasions (2020, 2021, 2024). An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell in Mohali, and investigations are ongoing to unravel the broader espionage-terror network and identify all collaborators.

Jyoti Malhotra, a Nomadic Leo Girl and Wanderer, gained fame through her YouTube channel "Travel with JO," and Instagram handle 'travelwithjo1.' Despite her luxurious lifestyle and travel vlogs, she fell under suspicion for her alleged involvement in transmitting sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence operatives, emphasizing the dangers of financial incentives and social media platforms in espionage activities.
