Parties such as Jamaat will stage rallies in Dhaka the following day, protesting the July Charter and potentially demanding related reforms.

In the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh, several political parties have announced plans to stage protests on September 18, united by a common set of demands. Among the most prominent of these groups is the Islami Andolan, led by Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim.

The Islami Andolan, along with its Dhaka city north and south units, will stage a procession from the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after the noon prayer. This demonstration is one of many taking place on the 18th, as various parties rally for change.

The protests are aimed at pressing for a set of common demands, including holding the national election in February based on the July Charter. Another demand is ensuring a level playing field for a free, fair, and acceptable election.

The protesters also demand making justice visible for all repression, mass killings, and corruption committed by the fascist government. Furthermore, they request banning the activities of the previous regime's allies, including Jatiya Party, and trying them in a special tribunal.

One faction of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish will march from the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after the Asr prayer, while another will gather in front of the National Press Club at 12:30 pm. Khelafat Andolan will gather at the same location as well.

Jamaat-e-Islami will hold its protest rally at 4:30 pm at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami are expected to address the gathering during the protest. Another faction of Khelafat Majlish will march from the National Press Club at 3 pm.

Jagpa, led by Rashed Pradhan, will rally in front of the Bijoynagar water tank. One of the demands is the introduction of the proportional representation (PR) system in the parliament.

Jalal Uddin Ahmed, the Secretary General of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, stated that the demands represent "a pledge to protect a fascism-free Bangladesh achieved at the cost of people's blood." He urged all to join the protests spontaneously, believing that successful protest marches will build strong public opinion to implement the five-point demand and reject any moves against the aspirations of the July-August revolution.

The leading representatives of the seven other political parties organizing protest marches and rallies on September 18 in Dhaka are the heads of Islami Oikya Jote, Jatiya Party, BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Khelafat Andolan, Khelafat Majlish, and Nezame Islam Party.

As the date of the protests approaches, the city of Dhaka braces itself for a day of demonstrations and calls for change, with the hopes of achieving a fair and free election and a justice system that truly serves the people.
