Say goodbye to Senior Soldier Petro Harbarchuk, alias "Shustryi," who met his end on the battlefield near the village of Novodanylivka, Zaporizhia Oblast, on the tragic date of June 7, 2023. At the tender age of 29, this gallant defender of Ukraine made the ultimate sacrifice.

Born and bred in the picturesque village of Mezhirich, Rivne Oblast, Petro walked a winding path that led him to graduate from Rivne Vocational School No.10 as a skilled lathe operator. From 2017 to 2021, he served his nation bravely in the ATO/ATO zone, devoting his time to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A dedicated soldier, Petro proved his mettle once more during the fierce Russian invasion that began in February 2022. In April 2022, he took up arms once more, serving his country valiantly in the separate assault unit of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

"When he was just six, life took his mother away. He spent his childhood in an orphanage, dreaming of owning a house and starting a family. Creating a home for his kin remained his supreme ambition... He positively adored spending quality time with his loving nephews," shared his heartbroken sister, Svitlana.

Petro was laid to rest in his beloved hometown in a solemn ceremony. His legacy and memories live on in the hearts of his sister, brothers, and dear nephews.

As a committed and tenacious defender of Ukraine, Petro Harbarchuk will forever be revered for his valorous spirit that never faltered in the face of adversity.
