Devils reshuffle roster after 2026 Olympics with AHL call-ups and reassignments

The New Jersey Devils have made several roster changes following the 2026 Winter Olympics. Three players returned from international duty, while the team adjusted its AHL assignments.

This week, the Devils recalled Dylan Wendt from the minors and sent Jakub Malek back to the Utica Comets.

Nico Hischier, Timo Meier, and Jonas Siegenthaler all represented Switzerland at the 2026 Olympics. Their final game took place on February 15 against Czech Republic. By February 21, all three had rejoined the Devils after the tournament's conclusion.

Meanwhile, the club made adjustments to its AHL lineup. Defenceman Jakub Malek was reassigned to the Utica Comets. In his place, forward Dylan Wendt was called up from the American Hockey League to serve as a practice player.

The Devils now have their Olympic players back in the lineup. Dylan Wendt will train with the team, while Jakub Malek returns to Utica for further development. These moves follow the end of the Winter Games and the team's ongoing roster evaluations.
