Devil's Advocate: Fan Support Could Potentially Spark a Daredevil Film

In the realm of small screen superheroes, Daredevil has been a compelling force since 2015 across Netflix and Disney+. Among devoted fans, the passionate support has kept this character alive in television for over a decade, and actor Charlie Cox believes this very enthusiasm could warrant a return to the big screen for ol' hornhead.

In a conversation at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Cox admitted that questioning him about a possible Daredevil movie is pointless, since he has little to no insights into the matter. The real powers-that-be to approach with inquiries are none other than Disney and Marvel Studios. To show their eagerness, Cox suggested that fans express their interest by writing plenty of letters to the decision-makers. He felt the series is simply one step away from a cinematic experience, as the cast and crew had the privilege of watching the first two episodes of each season in theaters – an experience he believed was deserved for everyone.

Charlie Cox has a history of being quite convincing when it comes to portraying this character, so fans have speculated that there might be potential for Daredevil to make a big-screen comeback, especially considering recent events like the reemergence of Jennifer Garner's Elektra in Deadpool & Wolverine, and the delay of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars that could bring the X-Men into action once more. Another possibility is a collaboration with Spider-Man, as Cox has already reprised the role for the animated Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and is rumored to be part of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 2026.

Wherever Daredevil pops up next, outside of Daredevil: Born Again's return in 2026, Cox remains eager to continue the story of Matt Murdock. And if recent fan excitement is any indication, they'll follow him wherever he goes.
