Details regarding the forthcoming Mayor's election on the 28th of September
The runoff election for the Mayor of Bergisch Gladbach will take place on September 28, 2025. The candidates for this election are Alexander Felsch (CDU) and Marcel Kreutz (SPD).
Voting can be done at the voting office, which will be open from Monday, September 22, until its closure on the Friday before the election at 15:00. The voting office hours are daily from 10:00 - 18:00.
For those who wish to vote by absentee ballot, it's important to note that the documents will be automatically sent by mail. However, there is no option for absentee voting in the runoff election. If you have requested absentee voting documents, you cannot vote in person. To request absentee voting for the first time, use this link or mail.
To confirm whether you have requested the documents for the runoff election, contact the voting office at 02202 / 14 2888 or via email. For security purposes, provide your name, address, and date of birth when contacting the voting office.
The polling stations in Bergisch Gladbach on the election day of the runoff election will close at 18:00 (6 PM). On that day, they will be open from 8:00 to 18:00 hours. To vote, you will need your ID card or your voting certificate.

It's important to note that no new voting notifications will be sent for the runoff election, including for absentee voting. The voting in the runoff election will be based on the same voter registry as the main election.
