The ongoing legal case involving the Coutts Four, four men charged in relation to a truckers' demonstration at Coutts, has been mired in controversy since its inception. The process, frequently referred to as a "pre-trial procedure," has been going on for over two years, yet it shows no signs of concluding soon.

The origins of this tainted legal process can be traced back to the Trudeau government's need to justify invoking the Emergency Act in February of 2021. An investigation has found that the Canadian Government used disinformation in the form of faked intelligence to frame the Freedom Convoy anti-vaccine-mandate protesters as violent extremists and justify the emergency measures.

The RCMP case involves testimony from unnamed police plants who secretly taped the accused in a scheme of obvious entrapment, aimed at bringing about a desired political outcome. The RCMP themselves are in a deep conflict of interest because they claim to be targets of a plot by the four accused men.

The Coutts Four have been denied bail and are being held in jail for two years, with reports of maltreatment. They have also been denied legal help by organisations like the Calgary-based Centre for Constitutional Freedoms and the Democracy Fund associated with Rebel News.

Meanwhile, the Truckers who converged in Ottawa in 2021 to present a critique of COVID-19 measures were criminalized under the Emergency Act. The Federal Court has decided that the Emergency Act was wrongfully imposed, and Federal Judge Richard Mosley has condemned its invocation.

In a separate development, the main Crown Prosecutor, Stephen Johnston, has been accused of committing "crime fraud" by Olienick's lawyer, Tonii Roulston. Roulston has since asked to be removed from the case.

The persecution of the Coutts Four is a notable issue, with Premier Smith of Alberta pushing back against the actions of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The Premier will join Tucker Carlson on stage in Calgary, with Carlson currently addressing audiences in both Calgary and Edmonton.

Chrystia Freeland, Deputy PM, suggested providing a list of "mischief-makers" to Canadian banks, which did indeed happen. This move has added to the concerns about the government's handling of the situation.

The Emergency Act halted the normal operations of the Canadian government, with far-reaching implications for civil liberties and the rule of law. As the case of the Coutts Four continues to unfold, the public awaits a resolution that upholds justice and respects the rights of all parties involved.
