Destroyed Bridge in Brescia Region by BSA Action
In a strategic move, Ukrainian forces have successfully disrupted the movement and supply of Russian troops on significant stretches of the border, by using drones to detonate approximately 30 TM-62 anti-tank mines placed by Russian troops on a bridge over the Tsata River in Russia's Bryansk region.
The mined bridge, intended by Russian forces as an evacuation route for troop retreats, was targeted by the Ukrainian military from the 1st Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense. The detonation of the anti-tank mines caused a massive explosion that completely destroyed the bridge, severing a key logistical route and cutting off a 16-kilometer stretch of Russian troop movements along the border.
The video published by DroneBomber shows how the mines were installed on the bridge's structure and supports, providing a clear view of the Russian preparations. The destruction of the bridge has stopped movement on it, complicating the maneuvers and supply of troops on the border sections.
This operation represents an innovative approach by the Ukrainian forces, exploiting Russian defensive measures against them. The use of drones to trigger enemy-placed anti-tank mines adds to Ukraine’s ongoing campaign of systematically targeting Russian military infrastructure—including bridges, fuel depots, and supply lines—in border regions such as Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod.
The news was reported by Ukrainian news outlet "Dialog.UA", and the precision strike turned the strategic crossing into a pile of metal, scattering concrete and metal for tens of meters. The detonation of around 30 anti-tank mines is a powerful explosion, comparable to the simultaneous detonation of several tons of TNT.
This is not the first time Ukrainian forces have targeted Russian military infrastructure. Previously, they have destroyed bridges and fuel trains, as demonstrated in Salsk, Rostov region. The destruction of the bridge in the Bryansk region is part of Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to disrupt the movement and supply of Russian troops on significant stretches of the border.
