In September, the DAZN Group, a global sports streaming service, made a big move by snatching up ELEVEN Group. Post-merger, the sports media company named ELEVEN's co-founder, Marc Watson, as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Watson's duties will encompass leading DAZN's rights and content acquisition strategy, driving commercial initiatives across the group, and helping the company become a true powerhouse in sports media.

As the CCO of DAZN, Watson joins an ambitious global leadership team packed with seasoned sports media vets. Former CCO, Jacopo Tonoli, moves on to explore fresh opportunities, but he'll still function as a special advisor to DAZN in the future.

Watson and Andrea Radrizzani established ELEVEN Group in 2015. They both competed against one another before ultimately merging. During his time as CEO of ELEVEN, Watson honed his skills and steered the company's expansion into a staggering 230 markets.

The thrilled Watson expressed his emotions about joining the DAZN family. Praising the company for its vision to become a leader in sports media, he proclaimed that DAZN's products are "impressively captivating." Watson believes that the company raises the bar for sport enjoyment and engagement, making him delighted to become a part of the DAZN journey.

The CEO of DAZN Group, Shay Segev, congratulated Watson warmly, recognizing him as an industry veteran with an impressive track record in sports media and entertainment. Segev noted that Watson's expertise will be invaluable for the company as it pushes the envelope in sports streaming technology and expands its audience reach worldwide.

Shay Segev acknowledged Tonoli's hard work over the past 15 years and thanked him for his contributions. Wishing him luck, Segev expressed excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead for DAZN, emphasizing that his departure will not hinder the company’s momentum.

Lastly, Tonoli himself shared his sentiments, expressing pride for his time with DAZN. He proudly highlighted the challenges he faced, the successes he achieved, and the incredible people he worked alongside. Tonoli is grateful for the opportunity to continue working with the company as a special advisor.

Recently, DAZN completed the acquisition of not only ELEVEN Group but also Team Whistle, a US-based social media creative agency. This double acquisition will bolster DAZN's status as a media giant, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with industry titans like Amazon and Netflix.
