In his seventh decade of life, Denzel Washington continues to make waves, both on and off the screen. The renowned actor, known for his strong and openly professed Christian faith, recently shared powerful testimonies and spiritual teachings with various audiences.

Most recently, Washington delivered a stirring testimony to the University of Colorado Boulder football team, recounting his spiritual experiences and journey. His messages, aimed at encouraging women and others on their spiritual walks, focus on trusting God's guidance, overcoming adversity with faith, and living a purpose-driven life rooted in spiritual conviction.

While there has been no mention of a specific religious milestone in recent reports, Denzel Washington's continuing public witness—through speeches and online messages in 2025—demonstrates an active and evolving spiritual life deeply grounded in Christianity.

In a conversation with Extra, the 70-year-old actor, who is currently working on a new project, referred to being back in the saddle. He wished he was closer to his faith when he was younger, advising his younger self to "Get on your knees more."

Washington's new project, the details of which he did not disclose, marks his fifth partnership with director Spike Lee. The film, which boasts a great team of actors including Wendell Pierce, Jeffrey, Michael Potts, A$AP Rocky, and Washington himself, is said to have been put together by someone who leaves him alone during the production process.

Washington finds working with Lee to be easy, and in the same conversation with Extra, he expressed gratitude for his life, saying, "If [God] can do this for me, there's nothing He can't do for you. The sky literally is the limit."

As Washington embarks on this new chapter in his life and career, his faith remains a central theme, serving as a guiding light in his personal and professional journey.
