The Denver Nuggets are set to overhaul their coaching staff for the upcoming season, with head coach David Adelman electing not to retain defensive coordinator Ryan Saunders, a source confirmed to our website.

According to the same source and a report by Chris Haynes, four assistant coaches -- Ryan Saunders, Popeye Jones, Charles Klask, and Stephen Graham -- who had been part of the team for the 2022-23 season will not have their contracts renewed. All four had been working under Michael Malone, whose departure led to Adelman's promotion from interim to full-time coach. Their contracts were set to expire in May 2025.

The new coaching hires under Adelman for the 2025-2026 season have yet to be announced publicly. Adelman, who joined the Nuggets as an assistant coach in 2017, is currently without a confirmed assistant coaching staff for the upcoming season.
