Denis Matsuev to deliver a musical performance in the Sverdlovsk region

Prepare for a Musical Spectacle in Yekaterinburg!

Glimpse the upcoming “Dennis Matsuev presents...” festival, graced by the prestigious Russian pianist himself!

Set to touch down in Yekaterinburg for his very own jubilee, acclaimed pianist Dennis Matsuev is gearing up for the tenth iteration of this renowned musical event. Joining forces with two local orchestras, Matsuev promises a captivating lineup of works by Beethoven and Rachmaninoff, as well as chamber performances featuring Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich trios.

As tradition dictates, the festival will showcase scholarship recipients from the interregional charitable program "New Names", inviting promising young musicians from Ural Specialized Music School to share the stage with the maestro.

Emphasizing the importance of nurturing future musicians, Matsuev shares, "We are celebrating the brightest pearls - the sparks, as we call them - who will become part of our family. The exceptional skill and talent amongst Yekaterinburg's youth are proven year after year, and we remain deeply grateful to their dedicated teachers and supportive parents."

On June 7, Matsuev is set to launch the festival with the Ural Youth Orchestra, under the baton of Dmitry Filatov. Their collaboration marks the third joint performance of the year, following their concerts at "Zaryadye" in Moscow and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic earlier in the year.

Looking ahead to June 9, Matsuev teams up with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Dmitry Liss, performing Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto. This piece has a special significance for Matsuev, as it was the start of his friendship with the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic and Yekaterinburg. Matsuev has long considered this ensemble his coveted "golden reserve."

Acclaimed Russian cellist Alexander Ramm and rising star Stefania Pospekhina, embarking on a compelling musical ascent, will join Matsuev for both the concert on June 9 and the chamber program on June 8. Keep an eye out for these talented artists!

In slightly different news, reports indicate that Yuri Bashmet and Konstantin Khabensky may be performing together in Alapayevsk. Known for his work with the Moscow Soloists chamber orchestra, Yuri Bashmet is a celebrated Russian violinist and conductor. Konstantin Khabensky, a respected Russian actor and philanthropist, often lends his talents to charitable causes.

To learn more about the aforementioned performances or seek out additional details regarding a potential collaboration between Bashmet and Khabensky, I encourage you to explore recent news and event listings for the most accurate information.

Prepare to be captivated by various music genres, as the entertainment spectrum broadens with chamber performances featuring Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich trios during Dennis Matsuev's festival.
