In the lead-up to US President Donald Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom, a series of events have caused a stir. The focus of the controversy revolves around Trump's ties to his former friend, Jeffrey Epstein.

Just seven days before Trump's arrival, a video montage was projected onto Windsor Castle, the royal residence where the president would be staying. The projection, named "Trump’s Ties," displayed the president's mugshot, portraits of Epstein, newspaper headlines, and footage of the two men dancing together. The group responsible for the stunt is called Led by Donkeys.

The images were swiftly stopped by officers, and four people were arrested "on suspicion of malicious communications" following the incident. Chief Superintendant Felicity Parker of Thames Valley Police stated that any unauthorized activity around Windsor Castle is taken extremely seriously.

Despite the planned protests in London, Trump will not be in the capital during his stay in the UK. Instead, he will join Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday for a day of political and economic talks at the prime minister's country residence.

Trump and his wife Melania will stay at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla. However, thousands more plan to demonstrate in London during Trump's stay in the UK.

The controversy surrounding Trump's ties to Epstein has been a persistent issue, with the US president struggling to shake off the stories. In a related development, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer dismissed his ambassador to Washington due to the envoy's close ties to Epstein.

Windsor Castle, located west of London, will serve as a backdrop to the political drama. Despite the controversies, Trump will head back to the United States again after his talks with Prime Minister Starmer.

Dozens of anti-Trump demonstrators gathered in Windsor to protest against Trump's visit. As the state visit unfolds, it remains to be seen how these controversies will impact the political and economic discussions between Trump and Starmer.
