The story takes place primarily within the Infinity Castle setting, where much of this last arc takes place.
The animation process for Infinity Castle is intricate and collaborative, with a focus on preserving the original art's integrity. Director Haruo Sotozaki expressed hope for the American moviegoing audience to experience the film in theaters.

The film's reported runtime is over two hours. Natsuki Hanae, the Japanese voice of Tanjiro, and Aleks Le, the English voice of Zenitsu, discussed their characters' growth in the film. Aleks Le hinted that fans would see a new, more vulnerable side of Zenitsu in the film.
