They demanded that Fine apologise for his comments, and Fine responded by referring to the House Democrats as the "Hamas Caucus."
This is not the first time Fine has been embroiled in controversy. In September 2024, he tweeted "Throw rocks, get shot. One less #MuslimTerrorist" after the killing of a Turkish-American citizen by the Israel Defense Forces, prompting calls for his censure. Additionally, Fine has been vocal about his opposition to countries recognising Palestine, including Ireland, Norway, and Spain.
