Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, alleges former governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, withdrew ₦10 billion for airport construction from the state's bank account.

Alex Otti Slams Okezie Ikpeazu Over ₦10 Billion Airport Funds: A Fistful of Fraud?

Demand from Ikpeazu: Return Stolen ₦10 Billion or Hand Over Airport Control to Alex Otti

In a bombshell interview with Arise News, Abia State's current governor, Alex Otti, has accused his predecessor, Okezie Ikpeazu, of libidinously pillaging ₦10 billion earmarked for an airport project that supposedly never took off.

Our sources claim that during an audit, Otti's team uncovered this financial impropriety.

In a candid moment, Otti charged that Ikpeazu had commissioned an unfinished government house building in a brazen act of deception.

"Here's the lowdown: my old man commissioned an incomplete building on the 28th of May, it was supposed to be our fancy schmancy new government house.

"What happened, you ask? Well, he finished the ground floor, gave it a shiny new paint job, filled it with fancy Italian furniture, and declared it open.

"After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Icheckeditout. The ground floor was top-notch, I must admit. But when I checked out the first and second floors, they were still far from pristine, bare bones with no sanitary fittings or an ounce of class.

"That's a scam," he exclaimed.

When grilled about investigating this apparent scandal, Otti retorted that such a probe would be a needless distraction, given his expanding to-do list.

"Here's the deal: you've only got four years. If you get sidetracked with all that chitchat, you lose focus. I've got more important things to attend to.

"Probing him? Well, we gave KPMG a shout. They took a peek at one of his accounts and, lo and behold, found a cool ₦10 billion withdrawal tied to a non-existent airport.

"That's where the dough went, you see," he detailed.
