Delta Corporation Set to Transfer Ownership of Adda52's Parent Company for Approximately ₹491 Crore
BREAKING: Adda52's Parent Company Sold to A23 Poker's Parent Company
Bloody hell, the world of Indian online gaming just got a seismic shakeup! Delta Corp, the big shot casino company behind some of India's swankiest offshore casinos, like Deltin Royale, Deltin Jaqk, and Deltin Caravela, is selling Deltatech Gaming, Adda52's parent company, to Head Digital Works, the parent company of A23 Poker. The deal's worth a whopping ₹491 Crore! After the deal's done, Delta Corp will still have a 5.9% stake in Head Digital Works.
The deal goes down in two phases. Head Digital Works snags a 51% stake in Deltatech Gaming for ₹34.8 Crore. After they trade equity shares, Delta Corp ends up with a 2.8% stake in Head Digital Works.
Delta Corp, a gaming and hospitality powerhouse established since 1990, operates casinos across India, Nepal, and Sikkim. They've ventured into the online gaming realm through Adda52, offering poker and other skill-based games.
A23, one of India's biggest online gaming platforms, brings games like rummy, poker, and fantasy sports to the table. Launched by Head Digital Works, A23 (formerly known as Ace2Three) was the trailblazer for online rummy in India, kickstarting the digital revolution for skill-based card games.
With four of the biggest names in online gaming coming together, we can expect a rippling effect on the market. Adda52 has teamed up with the latest edition of the Deltin Poker Tournament, DPT Xpress 2025, taking place at Deltin Royale in Goa. It's still uncertain how this consolidation will affect the market but we'll find out soon enough.
The brand's undergone internal changes too, including uniting its real estate and online gaming businesses and completely revamping Deltin Royale casino.
