Delhi Premier League 2025 Kicks Off with Excitement
The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 is set to captivate cricket fans, as the tournament gets underway on August 2 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, where the top two teams will compete in Qualifier 1, the 3rd and 4th place teams will face off in the Eliminator, followed by Qualifier 2 and the final on August 31. The winners of Qualifier 1 will proceed to the final, while the winner of Qualifier 2 will secure the remaining final spot by playing against the loser of Qualifier 1.
The women's tournament will also follow a round-robin format, with the final scheduled for August 17. The broadcast details for other regions are yet to be announced.
In the men's tournament, the spotlight has been on Priyansh Arya, the Player of the Tournament, who played for South Delhi Superstarz. Arya's impressive performance earned him a 3.8 INR crore IPL contract with Punjab Kings. During the DPL, he hit the joint-fifth fastest century in IPL history with a 39-ball century and amassed 608 runs in 10 innings.
