Delhi-NCR under yellow alert as pollution and cold wave intensify

Severe weather and air pollution have put Delhi-NCR on alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning. Meanwhile, the Indian Navy continues its maritime security operation, while the UAE marked its 54th National Day with nationwide celebrations. In sports, Australia’s Glenn Maxwell has stepped away from the IPL after 14 years, and India’s junior women’s hockey team opened their World Cup campaign with a dominant win.

The IMD’s yellow alert for Delhi-NCR follows a sharp drop in temperatures and rising pollution levels. Residents have been advised to take precautions against the cold and poor air quality.

The IMD’s warning keeps Delhi-NCR on high alert, while Cyclone Ditwa’s aftermath leaves Southeast Asia grappling with loss. Maxwell’s IPL exit marks the end of an era, and India’s junior hockey team eyes further success after their opening win. The Navy’s security operation remains active, and the UAE’s National Day celebrations have concluded with widespread participation.
