Delaware Fair Board Invites Applicants for Upcoming Elections
The Delaware County Fair Board is gearing up for its annual meeting on Thursday, October 8th, at 8 pm, held at the Delaware County Community Center in Manchester. This meeting will see several director positions up for election, and the community is invited to take part.
For those interested in running for a position, it's important to note that the deadline for submitting applications is fast approaching. Completed applications must be returned by August 25th. The application can be picked up at the Delaware County Fair Office.
Candidates have specific requirements to meet depending on the district they wish to represent. For District 3, residents from North Fork, South Fork, Delhi, or Union townships are eligible to run. Meanwhile, District 5 candidates must be residents of the City of Manchester.
It's also worth mentioning that all candidates must be at least 18 years old and reside in the district they intend to represent on the fair board. This rule applies to all districts, including the two At-Large positions open for candidates residing anywhere within Delaware County.
