Edwin Tropmann, a 19-year-old defense dynamo, has traded the Cologne Sharks for the ERC Ingolstadt, a powerhouse in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). The promising youngster will don the blue and white for the next two seasons.
Last season, Tropmann made seven appearances in the DEL and played 37 games for Cologne’s DEL2 partner club, EC Bad Nauheim. He has donned every junior uniform Germany has to offer and attended three World Championships. At the turn of the year, Tropmann led the U20 team as captain at the World Championships in Canada.

Tropmann's professional career in the DEL kicked off with the Kölner Haie, where he saw limited game time. For the 2024-2025 season, he suited up for 7 DEL games without notching a single point.
