Germany's Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, Fires Shot Across Russia's Bow
In a bold move ahead of the NATO defense ministers' meeting, Pistorius emphasized the need for the alliance to declare Russia as the prime menace. According to the Reuters newswire, the alliance should explicitly state that Russia is the deadliest threat in their summit declaration.
Pistorius also emphasized the need for recalling an additional 50-60 thousand soldiers from Germany to tackle new responsibilities, as reported by RIA Novosti.
A day prior, the German defense minister reported that in the near future, the Ukrainian army could receive its first home-grown long-range weapons, funded by Germany.
In the past, Moscow has consistently maintained that it presents no threat to any NATO nation, but they won't disregard actions that could potentially endanger their interests.
