Decision Proposal: Commission to Consider Implementation of Novel Regulations
In a recent development, the city councilors of WiP/Die Linke faction in Pforzheim have expressed their dissatisfaction with the administration's handling of family-friendly policies, particularly regarding the inclusion of dual trainees in childcare.
The councilors claim that the administration's actions demonstrate a lack of family-friendly politics and have criticized the lack of progress on this originally family-friendly topic. They suggest that the administration could have addressed this issue earlier in the term and recorded it as a success.
The matter regarding the inclusion of dual trainees in childcare was previously requested by both factions in August 2017. The SPD municipal council fraction submitted an application to withdraw the inclusion of dual trainees in childcare last week, a move that the city councilors of WiP/Die Linke find surprising and contradictory to the previous joint request.
The city councilors of WiP/Die Linke explain that the administration has not yet brought a resolution proposal for this into the committees. They reiterate their previous stance on the importance of addressing the budget cuts for Kita personnel, which they argue is more crucial than the administration's focus on free parking.
Mr. Boch, the current mayor of Pforzheim, submitted a proposal last week to the SPD city council faction advocating the lifting of all cuts for daycare staff. However, the city councilors accuse the administration of squandering financial resources on a traffic policy of yesterday with free parking, which neither helps Kita personnel nor children. They criticize the administration's focus on free parking as a 'bribe', which they argue does not help Kita personnel or children.
The city councilors express disappointment in the administration's actions, stating that the words are followed by few deeds. They find it incomprehensible that this has not happened yet, despite the topic of PiA and all other cuts to Kita personnel being discussed in the youth welfare committee since the middle of last year.
In a press release, the city councilors of WiP/Die Linke faction made a statement, expressing their views on the recent application submitted by the SPD municipal council fraction. The matter is currently under discussion, and it remains to be seen how the administration will respond to these criticisms and requests.
