In the picturesque Landkreis Heidekreis, residents can stay updated on local happenings without information overload by subscribing to the Heidekreis newsletter. This free service, delivered directly to subscribers' inboxes, provides a weekly summary of local news in a clear and concise format.

Recently, a concerning incident occurred at the Seebohm-Ring intersection involving a hunter who had to brake sharply to avoid a collision due to a car speeding on the K 5. The non-observance of the right of way has been recognized as an accident cause and existing risk at this intersection.

Mayor Dr. Jens Bülthuis has voiced concerns about traffic safety at the intersection of county roads 5 and 39, and around five months ago, he handed over a resolution for implementing additional traffic safety measures to Landrat Jens Grote. However, no response has been received, and the Landkreis Heidekreis has not yet put the topic on the agenda.

Police press spokesman Tarek Gibbah states that the intersection K 5/K 39 meets the criteria for an accident blackspot due to serious accidents on Pentecost. The police authority responsible has not yet presented an official plan for implementing additional traffic safety measures.

Jan-Ole Wittbrodt, a member of the SPD faction and the county's traffic committee, proposes improvements such as installing rumble strips, adding stop signs, and building a roundabout in the long term to enhance safety at the Seebohm-Ring intersection.

The Heidekreis newsletter selects articles of the week for its content, and it presents them in a well-organized manner. Users can sign up for the newsletter without obligation, making it a convenient way to stay informed about local events and news.

In a positive development, the accident commission of the Landkreis Heidekreis has renewed the markings in the intersection area on September 4. However, the Landkreis sees no need to change the designation of the intersection as no other accidents have been recorded there this year.

Despite the ongoing concerns about traffic safety at the Seebohm-Ring intersection, the Heidekreis newsletter aims to provide the latest news from Heidekreis directly to its subscribers. As the situation develops, residents can rely on the newsletter to keep them informed.
