Decision Looms for Trump Administration on Debatable UN Force, Ineffective at Disarming Hezbollah
Spicy Headlines: Fcking Foreign Failures – UNIFIL and the Debacle in Israel-Hezbollah Relations
Get the lowdown on today's friggin' fucked-up international mess, uncovered by our website.
JERUSALEM-ON A T populist rollercoaster, the infamous U.N. gang responsible for combating Hezbollah's rocket shows on Israel takes a vote in late August. The Trump administration plans to ax the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mandate at the UNSC.
American and Israeli experts on the mandate criticize UNIFIL for its pathetic weakness against Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah. David Friedman, former U.S. Ambassador during the first Trump term, disparages the U.N. saying, "UNIFIL may be the most spectacular failure in the Middle East, tasked with ensuring Hezbollah would not rearm post-2006 war. Stability in Lebanon won't be achieved through UNIFIL."
UNIFIL Our Exclusive Deep Dive: Terrorizing and Invading Northern Israel
After the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war, the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) passed Resolution 1701, planning the international force UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) would halt Hezbollah activity in southern Lebanon. But the terrorist organization joined Hamas in their bloody war on Israel following their invasion on October 7, 2023, murdering over 1,200 innocent souls, including 40 Americans.
In October, our website discovered UNIFIL soldiers had neglected to stop Hezbollah's rocket and weapon expansion since 2006. Israel's U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon denounced UNIFIL for failing to enforce its mission to disarm the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hezbollah on the border.
Israel's military operations in southern Lebanon revealed a military outpost a stone's throw from the border, loaded with explosives and mines, according to Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Is the UNIFIl Mandate (Fkin) Over?**
When asked if Israel aims to end the UNIFIL mandate, Israel's UN spokesperson, Jonathan Harounoff, coyly stated, "Israel is still evaluating the situation." The U.S. State Department remains silent on their stance for or against continuing the UNIFIL mandate.
Lebanese think tank, Israel Alma Research and Education Center, criticized UNIFIL on their webpage on June 10. "Despite Israel's repeated warnings, UNIFIL has failed to alter its conduct. There is no reason to believe that renewing the mandate will bring about the necessary change that would make UNIFIL's presence in southern Lebanon relevant and effective."

UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Teneti responded to the criticism, stating, "The LAF continues to benefit from UNIFIL's support in full deployment, training, capacity-building, and development of essential capabilities in the mandated tasks on land and at sea." Teneti added that "Implementation of 1701 is not with UNIFIL but with the parties. We are supporting the parties in the implementation of the mandate, but commitment is needed from both sides."
Hezbollah expert Sarit Zehavi challenged Teneti's comments: "All the things mentioned by UNIFIL are secondary to the primary issue of the mandate, which is the disarmament of Hezbollah. Despite the UNIFIL spokesman claiming that UNIFIL seized ammunition used by Hezbollah, she noted that UNIFIL provided no evidence. Zehavi questioned, 'In which towns is Hezbollah being disarmed? Where are the pictures? How come there are no proofs and only statements that they are doing that?'
UNIFIL'S WEAK LINK: Hezbollah's Growing Strength and UN's Waning Influence
In late January, a LAF chief reportedly sent a classified document to Hezbollah, securing the confidential material from a military facility run by U.S., France, and the UNIFIL. This suggests that the U.N. doesn't have its own shit together, and little faith in their ability to control this mess. Get updated on this developing situation with our website.

- The debate surrounding the continuation of the UNIFIL mandate, initially proposed to combat Hezbollah's activities, is a hot topic in the realm of politics and general news, given the ongoing controversy over its effectiveness in halting Hezbollah's armament, especially post-2006 war and the recent Israeli-Hezbollah conflicts.
- The war-and-conflicts between Israel and Hezbollah have been significantly influenced by the politics of the United Nations, particularly with regards to the UNIFIL mandate, and the United States' stance towards it. The failure of UNIFIL to enforce disarmament of Hezbollah, as mandated, has been a significant point of criticism in these conflicts, leading to discussions about its future role in the region.
