Event Locations and Dates
The early events, including Canopy Formations, Wingsuit Flying, Speed Skydiving, and Accuracy Landing, will take place at Skydive Elsinore in California from October 7–12, 2025. The later events at Skydive Arizona, located in Eloy, Arizona, are part of the overall 2025 Nationals schedule, though the exact dates are yet to be specified.
Airport Options
For Skydive Elsinore, the nearest major airport is John Wayne Airport (SNA) or Ontario International Airport (ONT) in Southern California. On the other hand, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is the closest major airport to Skydive Arizona, located about 60 miles north of Eloy, Arizona.
Transportation
Renting a car from the respective airports is the most common way to reach both drop zones, given their locations outside main urban centers and limited public transportation options. Shuttle services may be arranged locally but are not widely advertised; participants commonly rely on car rentals or ride shares for airport transfers and travel between lodging and drop zones.
On-Site and Nearby Lodging
Skydive Elsinore advises several local hotels and campgrounds in the Lake Elsinore area, with some on-site camping available but requiring advance confirmation. Skydive Arizona offers on-site lodging options including bunkhouses and RV hook-ups to accommodate participants. Nearby hotels in Eloy and Casa Grande provide additional options.
Preparing for the Competition
Before check-in, read up on canopy size, reserve maintenance, and documentation requirements as per SIM Section 5-1 and 5-2. SIM Section 6-2 recommends verifying AAD battery life, pack card validity, and reserve data card entries before departure. A full-service gear store is available for equipment needs, and a dedicated rigging loft is present for gear maintenance.
Remember to bring more hydration than you think you'll need, sunscreen, and ensure batteries are charged (both literal and mental). A 14ft indoor skydiving tunnel is available for last-minute drills, and multiple snack/food options are nearby for Skydive Elsinore.
Competition Days
Expect long competition days, so bring hydration, sun protection, and backup batteries for all devices. Three large grass landing areas are available at the competition site. Arrive with time to breathe, dirt dive, and be present with your crew.
