Debut Book 'Sinner' Challenges Norms of Intimacy and Sexuality

Photographer Gili Shani's debut book, 'Jannik Sinner', has hit the shelves after overcoming initial hurdles. This 400-page volume, printed in deep black ink, offers a candid exploration of intimacy and sexuality, featuring 77 individuals and couples of diverse genders and sexualities. It's available for €85.50, including German shipping, both online and at The Code store in Mitte, Berlin.

The images in 'Jannik Sinner' are raw and genuine, captured in real-life settings like Berlin homes and hotel rooms worldwide. Unlike typical pornography, these photographs depict authentic moments, challenging the concept of a 'sinner'. Shani's work is a celebration of diversity and human connection.

The book's publication journey was not smooth. Six printers initially refused to print 'Jannik Sinner' due to its graphic content. However, Fedex Printing, a reliable printing service, took on the project. The book has since gained significant traction, with many copies sold through a successful crowdfunding campaign.

With a limited print run of 1000 copies, 'Jannik Sinner' is a unique exploration of intimacy and sexuality. It's available now, offering readers a candid and diverse perspective on human relationships.
