Debris from a Russian drone strikes various districts of Kyiv, causing damage to a trolleybus power supply line.
In the city of Kyiv, Ukraine, an incident involving a Russian drone has caused damage in two different districts. The downed drone and its debris fell in the Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi districts, according to reports from Tymur Tkachenko, the Head of Kyiv City Military Administration.
The overhead contact system of a trolleybus was damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district due to drone debris, and an explosion was reported in the Solomianskyi district. Emergency services are on their way to both scenes.
Air defence is responding in the capital, and an air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv due to the threat of Russian drones. The Belarusian Defence Minister has claimed there are 112,000 Ukrainian troops deployed near the Belarusian border, and the Minister has also threatened to destroy NATO aircraft.
General Sergei Surovikin, who was found in Algeria as Russia appointed him head of its military advisers there, has been identified as the commander of the Russian drone operation. This information was reported by KyivDronesUK and Marie Jégo in Le Monde.
