Debate among candidates for Sintra's Municipal Council: PS/Book, CDS, PSD/IL/PAN, CDU, BE, CDS/PPM/ADN, and Chega participate in a discussion for the post
The electoral debate series for the Sintra chamber is currently underway, with several candidates expressing their platforms ahead of the local elections scheduled for October 12th, 2025. On September 25th, 2025, a significant debate took place involving six candidates: Ana Mendes Godinho (PS/Livre), Marco Almeida (PSD/IL/PAN), Pedro Ventura (CDU), Rita Matias (Chega), Tânia Russo (BE), and Mauricio Rodrigues (CDS/PPM/ADN).
The debate, moderated by Maria João Ferreira from SIC News, was broadcast live on SIC Notícias. Each candidate took turns to present their vision for Sintra, covering a range of topics from investment in local infrastructure to environmental sustainability and affordable housing.
Mauricio Rodrigues, affiliated with the Socialist Party (PS) in the municipal elections, emphasized the need for investment in local infrastructure to improve the quality of life for Sintra's residents.
