Death Announcement: Kenneth Wayne Davis Jr.
Kenneth Wayne Davis Jr., a Michigan native who made California his home, passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 83 in La Quinta, California. Davis was born in Lansing and raised in Battle Creek before moving west in search of better weather and a new life.
Davis attended Central Michigan University and later made Saratoga, California, his home in 1980. He began his career at Shell Oil, but his most significant professional achievement was co-founding Quality Tune-Up Shops in 1976.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Davis was deeply involved in his community. He served as President of the Saratoga High Booster Club for several years, supporting the school's sports teams and extracurricular activities.
Davis was married twice, first to Karen Forest in 1967, with whom he had children: Scot Davis, Julie Campagna, Virginia Nicoletti, Ken Henderson Jr., and Stephanie McLaughlin. Sadly, Davis is predeceased by his first wife, Karen, as well as his parents, Kenneth W. Davis Sr. and Tressa, his mother-in-law, Mary Forest, and his father-in-law, Tony Forest. He is also predeceased by his sisters, Joan DePung (Gary) and Sharon Stahl.
Davis is survived by his wife, Louisa, his children, and his 12 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kenny, Cole, Isabella, Ally, Trevor, Francesca, Olivia, Nicholas, Gianluca, Brandon, and Kyle. A celebration of Davis's life will be held on Thursday, July 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at Saratoga Federated Church, Saratoga, California.
Davis will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a community leader, and a successful entrepreneur. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched and the businesses he built.
