The foreign minister of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, expressed her deepest condolences on social media platform BlueSky.

"The news of the shooting rampage in #Graz has left me with a profound sense of sorrow. Grieving for the victims, their families and all of Europe who feel the pain of this loss, is all I can offer in this moment of darkness."

The EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, spoke out against the deplorable act, conveying her shock and dismay at the horrifying incident.

"Rendered speechless by reports of a school shooting in #Graz. Every child should feel safe at school and be able to learn free from fear and violence. My thoughts are with the victims, their families and the Austrian people during this excruciating time."
